I'm a childfree transhumanist computer geek with strongly neophilic and technophilic tendencies.
Please note that as of 2010, I will no longer be interacting with anyone online in a public manner outside of this website. This means I will not be reading or writing comments on articles, checking or updating statuses on social networks, or otherwise engaging anyone in a public manner. (Technical mailing lists and bug reports are the sole exception to this rule, since programming is both my professional lifeblood and my chief hobby, and some measure of communication is necessary in the open source world.) I will still be available via email (below), and will continue to interact privately via other mediums (e.g., instant messaging) with people I know. I'll also begin to post again to this website (although I will not be allowing comments). I'll explain the reasoning that went into this decision in more depth once I do get this site running again, but the nutshell summary is that I've come to believe that the hyper-connected, super-transparent state of contemporary online interaction is corrosive to the sort of life I want to lead.
